US attack on Syria: UN rejects condemnation of Russia, not relief from UN

The United Nations Security Council has rejected Russia's proposal with a heavy majority.

The United Nations Security Council has rejected Russia's proposal with a heavy majority, in which it condemned the 'attack on Syria' by the United States, Britain and France. Along with this, the air strikes of the alliance's Syrian chemical weapons targets have also been received by the Council of Security

In the emergency meeting convened by Russia, however, disappointment was also expressed that the most powerful unit of the international organization has failed to deal with the Syrian conflict which has been running for the past seven years.

Proposals demanding the 'attack' and 'use of some force further' in Syria by the alliance forces of the three Western nations, and the proposal demanding to be stopped immediately, with only two countries of the Security Council of 15 member countries, China and Bolivia met.

In contrast, eight countries voted against the Russian proposal. These include US, UK, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Kuwait, Poland and Ivory Coast. During the vote, four countries - Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Equatorial Guinea and Peru - were absent.
