The matter of poverty has reached the United Nations in the Kathua of Jammu and Kashmir with an eight-year-old girl. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed the hope that the gangrape and murder case of the girl in Kathua is frightening and the accused who have executed it are expected to be brought under the purview of law.

 PM Narendra Modi, expressing resentment over the incident, said it is shameful for the country and the criminals have not said that they should not be spared. He said, 'I want to assure the country that no criminal will be spared, justice will be done and our daughters will get justice.'
