Krishnamurthy recently visited India as part of the delegation of American lawmakers. He said that America's image in India is generally quite positive.

Washington, PTI Indians now believe that America is not a non-resident country. In the wake of controversial immigration policies of the Trump Administration, the top Indian-American MP Raja Krishnamurthy said this. Meanwhile, top Democrats have opposed the plan to end the work permit for the life partner of H-1B visa holders.

Illinois MP Krishnamurthy said, "Now it is a common assumption in India about America that if you are going to America as a tourist and trader or H-1B visa, then this is a different place. He said that as a Member of Parliament, we should ensure this basic principle that America is a special place, where we welcome and respect immigrants.

Krishnamurthy recently visited India as part of the delegation of American lawmakers. He said that America's image in India is generally quite positive. But when a young Indian does not see America as the only place to start business, graduate studies and make the future happy, we should worry about it.

Meanwhile, Bharatvanshi MP Pramila Jaipal opposed the plan to end the work permit for the life partner of H-1B visa holders under the H-4 visa. He also told this issue of gender discrimination and said that in large numbers women get benefit from it. This will disadvantage the working women of H-4 visa holders. Jaipal was addressing the program of US India Friendship Council on Wednesday. Meanwhile, other Democrats, MPs Crowley, Amy Bera and Raja Krishnamurthy also supported them in the case of H-1B and H-4 visas.
