Canberra: More than 20 percent of Australian children are starving in the last 12 months. According to a news agency Xinhua report, a 1,000 parent survey by Foodbank found that 22 per cent of Australian children under the age of 15 live in a family who have been denied food during the past 12 months. It was also found that one out of five children going to school goes to school without breakfast once a week, and one in ten children at least once a week is eaten without food all the time.

Nepal to move ahead of hunger strike

Nepal has now come under the 'moderate' list of 'serious' by bringing a reduction in child malnutrition and child mortality in this case. According to the report, Nepal's GHI score was 42.5 in 1992 and in 2017 this had reduced to 22. GHI does not calculate it in countries with rich countries and small population. In 2000, Nepal's GHI score was in the category of danger. In the GHI list of 119 countries, Nepal was ranked 72st. Nepal was ahead of Sri Lanka (84th), Bangladesh (90), India (97), Pakistan (107) and Afghanistan (111th) with this place.
